Today we're checking out the Yalecrest neighborhood in Salt Lake City, Utah!


One of the best neighborhoods in Salt Lake City! With a stunning mountain backdrop and a creek running through the middle of it, Yalecrest is a great place to call home!

Yalecrest Vibes


Home to around 4,200 residents, Yalecrest is located about 10 minutes east/southeast of downtown Salt Lake City and a little less than 20 minutes from the airport. The neighborhood is bordered to the north by the University neighborhood, to the east by the Sunnyside East neighborhood, to the south by the Wasatch Hollow neighborhood, and to the west by the East Central neighborhood.


According to niche.com, Yalecrest is rated the 15th Best Place to live in Utah overall. It is known for its busy brunch spots, modern fine dining restaurants and art galleries, and nice outdoor spaces.


Overall the schools here are pretty good. Yalecrest is served by the Salt Lake City School District which is rated a B+*. The neighborhood is primarily served by East High School which is rated a B*. Clayton Middle School gets an A- and the Uintah and Bonneville Elementary Schools both get an A-*.


Home Price Statistics


Pretty much entirely single-family homes, the median sale price in Yalecrest comes in around $1.1m, quite bit higher than the Salt Lake City metro median of around $557k. For single-family homes currently on the market, prices range from $720k on the low end, and upwards of $3.5m on the high end. About 85% of residents in Yalecrest own their home.
