Liberty Wells Vibes


Home to around 9,300 residents, Liberty Wells is located less than 10 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City and about 15 minutes from the airport. The neighborhood is bordered to the north by 1300 S and the Central City neighborhood, to the east by S 700 E and the East Central and Sugar House neighborhoods, to the south by 2100 S and the Sugar House neighborhood and South Salt Lake (city), and to the west by S State Street and the Ballpark neighborhood.


Up-and-coming and in the path of progress, Liberty Wells is a mostly residential neighborhood with popular brunch spots, small independent shops, local restaurants and global restaurants serving everything from Thai to Ethiopian cuisine. It is also rated the 6th Best Place in Utah for Young Professionals.


Overall the schools here are pretty good! Liberty Wells is served by the Salt Lake City School District which is rated a B+*. The neighborhood is primarily served by Highland High School which is rated an A-. The middle schools are Clayton and Hillside, rated an A- and B+ respectively*. The elementary schools are Hawthorne and Whittier and are rated an A and B respectively*.


Home Price Statistics


The median sale price in Liberty Wells comes in around $460k, which is affordable compared to the Salt Lake City metro median of around $557k. If you're interested in single-family homes, currently on the market prices range from $300k on the low end, and upwards of $1.5m on the high end. For condos/townhomes, currently there are none on the market.


It's about 50/50 when it comes to residents owning vs renting their home in Liberty Wells. With the growth of the neighborhood on the rise, it's likely that we're going to see an increase in home ownership.
