Updated: Apr 6, 2022

Today we're checking out Holladay, Utah!

If you're moving to the suburbs of Salt Lake City and are excited about the prospect of being tucked up against the Wasatch Mountains, may we present to you: Holladay, Utah! With absolutely stunning views, great amenities, and very cozy vibes, Holladay has it all!

Let's go!

Holladay Vibes

Home to around 30k residents and located about 20 minutes to either downtown Salt Lake City or the airport and convenient access to the canyons, mountains, and skiing, Holladay is a great suburb with a lot going for it. Located north of Holladay is the city of Millcreek, to the east are the Wasatch Mountains, to the south is the city of Cottonwood Heights, and to the west are the cities of Murray and Millcreek.

Holladay is rated the 7th best suburb to live in Utah overall and the 5th best place to retire in Utah.* The schools here are generally pretty good, but they vary fairly dramatically. Served by the Granite School District, it is ranked the 2nd most diverse school district in Utah behind the Salt Lake City School District. With schools ranging in ratings from A to C+, there are a good number of options depending on where in Holladay you're located.*

Home Price Statistics

Not super cheap to live here, but I guess that's dependent on where you're coming from. The median sales price in Holladay comes in around $670k. The cheapest single-family home on the market is $590k, while the most expensive home is $7.6m. You may get lucky occasionally to find something lower, but that $590k is more or less the barrier of entry into Holladay.

In terms of condos/townhomes, they range from around $480k and upwards of $1.4m. Holladay is a owner heavy area with around 78% of residents owning their home, while 22% rent.
